Amy Kuritar Lohrmann Memorial Scholarship

Recipient Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate student majoring in criminal justice
  • Must be a junior or senior
  • Have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA
  • Preference shall be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Preference shall be given to applicants who demonstrate involvement in clubs and organizations, volunteer leadership positions, and community service
  • Must provide a brief essay (one page, double spaced, 12-point font) involvement in clubs, organizations, volunteer leadership positions and professional goals

ASIS Foundation Scholarship

Recipient Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in criminal justice
  • Must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA
  • Must provide a 250-word narrative describing career plans in the security profession, including degrees and/or professional development courses, applicable memberships and specific areas of interest
  • Must provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member (This letter is not due until the applicant is offered an interview and does not need to be submitted with the initial application.)

Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Memorial Scholarship In Memory of Debbie Phillis

Recipient Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in criminal justice
  • Must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Must demonstrate involvement in clubs, organizations, volunteer leadership positions and community service
  • Must provide resume and a brief essay (one page, double spaced, 12-point font) on involvement in clubs, organizations, volunteer leadership positions and community service

Criminal Justice Memorial Scholarship

Recipient Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student majoring in criminal justice
  • Must be a senior and have completed at least twelve (12) hours of criminal justice course work
  • Must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA and a minimum GPA of 3.2 in criminal justice course work
  • Must provide a written description of professional goals and current involvement in extracurricular activities and community service
  • Preference shall be given to applicants who demonstrate involvement in clubs and organizations, volunteer leadership positions and community service

Detective Barry Pruette Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Recipient Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student majoring in criminal justice
  • Must be junior or senior
  • Must be pursuing a career in the criminal justice field in law enforcement (local, state or federal)
  • Must provide a 500 word narrative describing career goals
  • Recipient will be invited, and encouraged, to attend an awards presentation ceremony at the Altamonte Springs Police Department

George Desalvia Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Recipient Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student majoring in criminal justice
  • Must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Must demonstrate involvement in clubs, organizations, volunteer leadership positions and community service by submitting an essay (one page, double spaced, 12-point font) and resume

Jallad Family Endowed Scholarship

Recipient Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time, undergraduate or graduate student at the university majoring in criminal justice or legal studies
  • Must hold an overall 3.0 grade point average
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • This scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation provided that funds are available and the recipient maintains the award criteria

  • Preference shall be given to applicants who demonstrate involvement in clubs, organizations, volunteer leadership positions and community service
