Host an Intern
If you are interested in hosting a student as an intern, please complete the Internship Placement Request Form. Please note, while we do our best to match students, we cannot guarantee that a student will be placed with your organization. If you have questions, please email InternshipSPA@ucf.edu.
What We Ask of You
We expect your agency to provide interns with an atmosphere in which they will develop their professional and personal growth. This experience should help our students transition from the classroom to the professional world.
We expect that students will perform tasks and duties that are meaningful and substantial, and will contribute in a significant way to the overall agency operation. By no means should a student be used as a clerk or secretary to the exclusion of a meaningful and rewarding learning experience.
Within the first two weeks of the internship, you must complete a learning agreement and placement confirmation form. This document will also be signed by the student and the school’s internship director. This document is used to facilitate a thorough understanding of the student’s role and duties in the organization. Receipt of this signed document represents a university sanctioned internship for academic credit.
Prior to the student completing the internship, you will be asked to complete an internship evaluation to assess the student’s performance.
Read through our experiential learning brochure for more information on becoming an internship host site. If you still have questions, contact internship director Daniel Seigler.
