Vanryckeghem Delivers Keynote, Leads Workshop in Poland

img_0955Martine Vanryckeghem (left), professor of communication sciences and disorders, was a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Logopedics held Aug. 25-26 in Katowice, Poland.

The conference was a second edition and focused on Fluency Disorders: Theory and Practice. It was dedicated to specialists in the area of logopedics, a field dealing with the evaluation of speech, language and voice disorders and the treatment of these disorders by speech-language pathologists.

Vanryckeghem presented a morning keynote Aug. 25 titled “Evidence-based Multi-dimensional Assessment Leading to Multi-modal Treatment.”

That afternoon she led a workshop on the investigation of speech-associated attitude across the lifespan and its therapeutic implications.
