Meghan Hufstader Gabriel, Ph.D., is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Health Management and Informatics at the University of Central Florida. She was previously at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology as an economist. Prior to ONC, she was a consultant in the Health Economics and Outcomes Research Department at Covance, a drug development services company.
Gabriel’s main research focus is the value of health information technology. Her manuscripts are published in journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, Health Affairs, and the American Journal of Managed Care.
Gabriel earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her Ph.D. from the Division of Health Outcomes and Policy Research, at The University of Tennessee, College of Pharmacy.
