FY 2017-18 Legislative Budget Allocation of $1 Million

The Florida Legislature allocated $1 million in 2017-18 for the following:

  • Continue to provide Community Partnership School services at Evans High School • A Community Partnership School (subject to the 25 percent local match)
  • Continue to fund eight Community Partnership Schools as development continues
  • Continue the Center for Community Schools at UCF to provide assistance and support to qualified schools in the development of Community Partnership Schools

FY 2016-17 Legislative Budget Allocation of $1.5 Million

The Florida Legislature allocated $1.5 million in 2016-17 for the following:

  • Continue to provide Community Partnership School services at Evans High School • A Community Partnership School (subject to the 25 percent local match)
  • Fund six current planning-grant schools to full-funding Community Partnership Schools (each subject to a 25 percent local match)
  • Continue the Center for Community Schools at UCF to provide assistance and support to qualified schools in the development of Community Partnership Schools

FY 2015-16 Legislative Budget Allocation of $900,000

The Florida Legislature allocated $900,000 in 2015-16 for the following:

  • Core funding for Evans High School • A Community Partnership School in Orlando (continuation)
  • Core funding for three 2014-15 planning grant schools
  • Two new planning grants for Florida schools interested in becoming a Community Partnership School
    ($75,000/$25,000-local match)
  • A technical assistance center at UCF (continuation)

FY 2014-15 Legislative Budget Allocation of $685,000

The Florida Legislature allocated $685,000 in 2014-15 for the following:

  • Three planning grants for Florida schools interested in becoming a Community Partnership School ($75,000/$25,000-local match)
    • Planning grants were awarded to the Brevard, Pasco and Escambia County school districts.
  • Core funding for Evans High School • A Community Partnership School in Orlando to provide the support and resources needed to impact student achievement (continuation)
  • A technical assistance center at UCF to develop Community Partnership Schools in Florida that adhere to a proven model
    • The Center for Community Schools opened in the fall of 2014 and an assistant director was hired in the spring of 2015.
