CCP Hosts Second Annual LEADS Youth Summit
The Center for Community Partnerships hosted the second annual LEADS Youth Summit at UCF Monday, April 16 for student leaders from Evans High School • A Community Partnership School. The summit included a scavenger hunt, a Q&A session with UCF SGA representatives and a service-learning project with Goodwill Industries of Central Florida. Mutual of America Award
Mutual of America selected Children’s Home Society of Florida’s partnership with UCF, Orange County Public Schools and Orange Blossom Family Health in support of Evans High School • A Community Partnership School for its national Community Partnership Award for 2017. The partner organizations were recognized at an awards event Nov. 15 in New York City. Learn about Evans and the partnership in a compelling 15-minute video produced by MOA.
Ellis Named Director
Congratulations to Amy Ellis on her selection as the new director of the Center for Community Schools, a position previously held by David Bundy. Ellis served as assistant director of the center for more than two years. “I am excited about our future work together strengthening the Community Partnership Schools model and delivering the greatest support possible to our students and families,” she said.
