Office of Research
The School of Social Work Office of Research supports the generation, dissemination and transfer of faculty research and scholarship. Our mission is to provide leadership, tools, knowledge, strategies, information and resources for increasing the research capacity of the school and its partners.

The office offers the following support:
• communication to external stakeholders in the form of a biannual newsletter
• collecting, analyzing and reporting faculty research and scholarly productivity
• coordinating the school’s internal evaluation process
• identifying and promoting opportunities for research grants, collaborations, and scientific and professional publications
• hosting events, including colloquia, workshops and roundtables, aimed at professional research development, evidence-based practice research, knowledge development and scholarly exchange
Our office also facilitates the inclusion of B.S.W., M.S.W. and public affairs doctoral students in faculty and independent (mentored) research, as well as promotes the inclusion of faculty research and scholarship in the curriculum.
We are currently a two-person office. Audrey Anspach, our research specialist, provides invaluable logistic and technical support to the office while juggling the responsibilities of full-time study as an M.S.W. student.
This is our second year of operation and we are actively seeking the feedback of our stakeholders as we continue to develop our services for increased relevance and impact. In that vein, we will soon launch our first online service quality assessment measure. I welcome your ideas and feedback at our e-mail address: swresch@mail.ucf.edu.
