Organization for Public Administration

The Organization for Public Administration (OPA) is a student organization whose mission is to help students transition from school into the world of Public Administration.   For many years OPA has co-sponsored the annual OPA Career and Job Fair with the Public Administration Office and UCF's Career Services and Experiential Learning Office.   The career fair has opened the door for many UCF students in the Public and Nonprofit fields.  The OPA also sponsors an annual trip to Tallahassee, Florida, where students meet with the Florida Governor, his staff, state legislators, lobbyists, UCF alumni and other influential individuals. Course content takes on a new meaning when the leaders of Florida state government can be interviewed to explain the processes of state government.
