American Humanics' Student Association
American Humanics' Student Association
Students pursuing a minor in American Humanics must participate in co-curricular activities coordinated by the American Humanics' Student Association (AHSA). AHSA encourages students to develop memories that last a lifetime while preparing themselves for a career as a nonprofit professional. The purpose of AHSA is to provide students the opportunity to interact with each other as they participate in various fundraising and volunteer events throughout the year. The AHSA also enables students to network with respected nonprofit leaders in the Central Florida community through the Nonprofit Lecture Series.
Students can also interact with nationally respected nonprofit leaders and American Humanics students from across the country during the American Humanics Management Institute (AHMI) conference. Attendance at one (1) AHMI is a requirement for national certification in American Humanics. AHMI is an intensive educational symposium which provides a capstone experience in nonprofit management and leadership education. The unique, interactive format of the Institute exposes the next generation of nonprofit leaders to the realistic experiences of a nonprofit organization.
