Feldheim to Lead Public Administration Department

August 3, 2005 — The College of Health and Public Affairs at the University of Central Florida has appointed Mary Ann Feldheim, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Public Administration. Feldheim also serves as an associate professor and the coordinator of the Nonprofit Management Program and has taught in the department since 1997. She was the driving force behind the college’s master’s degree in nonprofit management that began in fall 2004.

Feldheim holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing administration, both from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Her Ph.D. is in public administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Prior to her academic career, Feldheim worked for many years in the health-care field, primarily in hospital settings and hospice care.
