Does ISAT clean up computer viruses?
If you e-mail isat, at isat@mail.ucf.edu, we will provide anti-virus disks and instructions on how to use it. We do not do the clean up. Training is available for the use of anti-virus software. If you would like to
schedule a training session for this, please click here, and follow the scheduling directions at the bottom of that page.
What is the initial password for someone logging on to pegasus or the UCF LAN for the first time?
For Faculty and Staff accounts
yymmdd (last two numbers of your birth year, "two" numbers of your birth
month, and "two" numbers of your birth day)
For Student accounts:
ssssmmdd (first four numbers of your social security number, "two"
numbers of your birth month, and "two" numbers of your birth day)
The userids for students are usually iiisssss (first, middle, and last initials of
their name, and the last five numbers of their social security number)

If you get to a prompt that looks like the following

then pegasus is working, and you may have a problem with your pegasus account. If
this is the case you should contact the pegasus help desk at 823-6207, or go to their help
site on the Internet at Pegasus
help.
ISAT has "no" control over pegasus. Computer Services administrates
pegasus, and if it goes down, they are the only ones who can work on it.
Who do I contact for Electronic Classroom Support?
While using the electronic classrooms, should you experience any kind of computer, network, computer related problems please contact the ISAT department at ext. 3-0112. After 5pm, please contact the Office of Instruction Resources at ext. 3-2574.
If you experience any other problems (ie. the light bulb in the projector is burnt out), please contact Multimedia
Support at ext. 3-2574.
What should I remember when using an Electronic Classroom?
While using the electronic classrooms, please remember to turn off the lights in the overhead projectors and the document cameras. The bulbs have a very short life expectancy and replacing them is a great cost to the college. Also remember that there is to be NO food or beverages in the room. This is to prevent damage to the costly equipment in these rooms.
