Welcome
Welcome to the Department of Health Professions at the University of Central Florida. The department office is located in Suite 210 on the second floor of Health and Public Affairs building II (HPA-II) on the main campus. Faculty offices and classrooms are located in both Health and Public Affairs buildings I and II. The department offers a range of academically rigorous, accredited programs for students interested in the health-care field. These programs prepare graduates for professional and managerial positions in the health-care industry. We are proud that our graduates are highly sought by employers who know the strengths of our programs and the quality of our students.

Educational Opportunities

  • baccalaureate degree programs in cardiopulmonary sciences (respiratory therapy), health information management, health sciences--athletic training track, health sciences--pre-clinical allied health track, health services administration and radiologic sciences
  • master's degree programs in health sciences--clinical and lifestyle sciences track and health sciences--health services administration track
  • doctorate in physical therapy (D.P.T.)
  • minors in health services administration or health sciences for students in other majors who are interested in the health-care field
  • a dual-degree in health services administration and health information management
  • clinical training in local and regional health-care delivery organizations
  • administrative and management internships that offer research and educational experiences within public and private health-care organizations
  • widely recognized faculty researchers who work with local and regional health-care leaders in addressing the needs of a diverse metropolitan region
  • A.S. to B.S. transfer program in radiologic sciences for graduates of two-year programs with professional certification
  • RRT-transfer option in the cardiopulmonary sciences program for students who hold an A.S. degree in respiratory care from an accredited program and an A.A. from a Florida community college or completed the UCF general education program requirements (including foreign language)
  • baccalaureate programs with many web-based course offerings
