Make a Difference

The College of Health and Public Affairs has relied on the generosity of alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations to support our mission of strengthening communities and changing lives.

The reasons for making a gift to the college are personal and varied. Perhaps you are grateful for your UCF experience and want to give something back. Maybe you would like to honor a loved one or leave a legacy to benefit future students for generations to come. Perhaps you feel passionate about supporting cutting-edge research and teaching that impact the social fabric that underlies our communities. Or you may wish to take advantage of the tax benefits of making a gift.

Whatever your motivation, you'll find as many ways to make a difference as there are priorities, alumni chapters and volunteer opportunities. Thank you for your past and future support.

Student Scholarships and Fellowships

Whether they are awarded based on merit or need, scholarships and fellowships established by donors help students realize their academic dreams at the College of Health and Public Affairs. In this difficult economic time, more than half of UCF's undergraduates currently request scholarship support. UCF students benefit from the generosity of alumni and friends who have established the following scholarships in the college.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships enable the College of Health and Public Affairs to draw students to campus from across the nation, and even the world. Your gift of $25,000 or more to the UCF Foundation is all it takes to establish a scholarship that will help generations of students. The principal of an endowed scholarship gift is invested in perpetuity, with the accrued interest providing an annual scholarship award. Earnings generated will provide a disbursement of approximately 4-5% and is subject to market conditions and UCF Foundation board policy.

Non-Endowed Scholarships

A named non-endowed scholarship can be created with a minimum investment of $10,000. This type of scholarship allows alumni, parents and friends to have an immediate and direct impact on the daily lives of students in the College of Health and Public Affairs. Your scholarship can be established with an initial contribution or combined contributions from others. You choose the amount of the scholarship(s) awarded until the funds are expended.

Faculty Enhancement

One of the most powerful tools for attracting and retaining preeminent scholars who, in turn, attract other outstanding faculty and students is an endowed chair or professorship. An endowed faculty position recognizes exceptional scholarly accomplishment and provides students the opportunity to study under a prominent leader in their chosen field.
