Criminal Justice B.A.: The department does not hold a separate orientation for this program.
Criminal Justice M.A.: The week prior to the start of each semester (fall, spring and summer), the graduate program in criminal justice holds a welcome orientation for new students. The specific date and time for each orientation are noted in the acceptance letter new students receive. At orientation, students attend a brief presentation and have the opportunity to meet the department chair and graduate coordinator. Students also receive an informational packet including course schedules, requirements, grade expectations, and a campus map, and contact list.
College Orientation
The College of Health and Public Affairs’ Office of Student Support, located in HPA II Suite 115, hosts a series of college orientations aimed at providing students with specific information they will need to successfully complete a degree program offered within this college. These orientation sessions are held in conjunction with the general UCF Orientations throughout the year. During these specialized college orientations, students will receive academic advisement and will register for classes. For specific information, please visit the Office of Student Support online or contact them directly at (407) 823-0010.
General UCF Orientation
There are several different orientations available for students depending on the program that they are beginning. Initially, all students are required by the university to attend a general UCF Orientation.
These orientations are tailored to the status of the student, such as freshman or transfer student, and they aim to help students transition to UCF. These sessions provide valuable information on such important topics as class schedules, immunizations requirements, financial aid and student services.
