About the Clinic

The Communication Disorders Clinic is the clinical centerpiece of the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Florida and has been providing high-quality speech, language and hearing services for over 35 years. The discipline of communication sciences and disorders involves the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and study of human communication and its disorders.

At the UCF Communication Disorders Clinic, graduate students evaluate and treat clients with various communication disorders under the direct supervision of certified, master's- and doctoral-level speech-language pathologists and audiologists.

Each semester, the clinic provides speech, language and hearing services to approximately 350 children and adults from the greater Orlando area. Services are provided across the spectrum of communication development, differences and disorders.

Mission
The faculty and staff of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders are dedicated to the preparation of speech-language pathologists and audiologists who achieve the highest standards of academic learning, clinical service and scientific inquiry. We work together in an environment of integrity, cooperation, enthusiasm and mutual respect to educate clinicians and scientists who are sensitive to issues of diversity, embrace the highest ethical standards, provide quality services, and advocate for the well-being of individuals and families impacted by speech, language, hearing and associated disorders.
