FAAST Regional Demonstration Center

The Communication Disorders Clinic also houses the Atlantic Region Assistive Technology Demonstration Center. The center is supported by funding from the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) and serves individuals across the lifespan and range of disabilities in 10 counties. Speech-language pathology, audiology, occupational therapy and physical therapy staff are available to provide demonstrations of equipment and computer systems designed to improve the daily functioning of individuals with disabilities. Staff members also assess each person’s needs, identify devices that provide appropriate help, assist in obtaining necessary devices and provide related training.
