Case Management Certificate Program
About the Program
The Case Management Certificate Program at the University of Central Florida is a continuing education program that enables new and seasoned professionals to refresh their tools, rebuild their resource toolkit and network with fellow case management workers. The 40-hour program, held one full day a week for five consecutive weeks, leads to a certificate of participation in the UCF program. The program is being offered through support from Florida Hospital.
The program is taught by Central Florida professionals and covers the following topics:
- the state of the case management profession
- best practices across populations
- integration of care management
- professional development
In addition, the content has been developed with the "Central Florida" case manager in mind and provides information on regional social-service programs, health-care facilities and government offices.
Students in the program come from a broad cross-section of community organizations in the greater Orlando area, including nonprofits, government offices and health-care facilities. Many students have been recipients of scholarships thanks to the support of community organizations.
The program is administered by UCF's Center for Community Partnerships and John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government at UCF.
