Undergraduate students who do not maintain satisfactory academic progress while at UCF are placed on "academic probation." Academic probation is taken very seriously by the College of Health and Public Affairs and is used to inform the student of his or her need to alter study habits and to seek additional academic advising. Academic probation is action taken when a student's UCF cumulative GPA drops below 2.0.
Students on Academic Probation
Students who are placed on probation will be placed on academic hold by Undergraduate Student Services and will be required to attend a Probation Workshop in which they are made aware of the university's probation policies. Students are not eligible to graduate from UCF until they are off academic probation.
Disqualification
Students who are placed on academic probation need to be aware that if they earn below a 2.0 in the subsequent term, they will be academically disqualified from UCF. Disqualification means that the student will be unable to enroll at UCF. Readmission to UCF is not automatic and the disqualified student will need to apply for readmission to UCF after a minimum of two consecutive semesters. Students will need to apply through the Registrar's Office by filing the "Exception to Academic Policy" application.
Continued on Probation
Students on academic probation who receive a 2.0 semester GPA the following semester, but still have a cummulative UCF GPA below a 2.0, will have "continued on probation" marked on their transcripts. This notation will be removed only when the cumulative UCF GPA exceeds 2.0. Each term the students are "continued on probation" they must receive a 2.0 semester GPA or face disqualification from the university. Undergraduate Student Services' advisers are available to meet with students continuing on probation to review their progress.

Where To Find Your Status
Students are able to view any academic action (disqualification) on my.ucf.edu (on the unofficial transcript). The notice will also appear on their official transcripts.
Readmission
Students who have not been enrolled at the university for two consecutive semesters for any reason, must reapply with at the Registrar's Office using the appropriate form. See the academic calendar for readmission deadline for each semester.
Readmission following DISQUALIFICATION OR EXCLUSION
"Disqualified" or "excluded" students are notified by mail of their status. Excluded students are no longer eligible to attend the university. Disqualified students must apply for readmission after being gone from the university for at least two semesters. Readmission following disqualification is very difficult. Students seeking readmission will be reviewed for educational readiness when seeking the college's support for readmission. This is generally accomplished by taking courses at a community college or by earning an A.A. from a Florida public community college and demonstrating academic progress.
Students seeking readmission must have a grade point deficit of less than 15 grade points. If the student has a grade point deficit of more than 15 points, he or she will be denied readmission. For readmission purposes only, a grade point deficit is defined as the number of UCF credit hours earned with a B grade (3.0 GPA) that a student needs to raise her or his cumulative UCF GPA to a 2.0.
Probation after Readmission
If readmitted, a disqualified student will enter the university on academic probation. The academic probation status will continue until the student's cumulative UCF GPA is above a 2.0. If the student has attempted course work at another regionally accredited institution, he or she must be in good academic standing at that institution. Following readmission to the university, the student must maintain a term GPA of at least a 2.0 in each subsequent semester or the student will be excluded from the university. The excluded student is not eligible for readmission.
