About this Photo

Judy Sindlinger (center), director of the college's Office of Student Support, has been selected to receive the Outstanding Advising Award for advising administrators by the National Academic Advising Association. The award is the top honor in her profession.

"No academic advising administrator at UCF has ever before won this award," said college Dean Belinda McCarthy.

Sindlinger will be formally recognized at a special awards ceremony and reception at the association's annual conference this October in Indianapolis, Ind. — Sindlinger's home town.

Sindlinger assumed her current position in the College of Health and Public Affairs in 1995. She has a doctorate in education from Indiana University in Bloomington.

Pictured with Sindlinger are academic advisers (left to right) Mary Rente, Mercedes Vega and Gail Raymond.
