WHAT: Luncheon and Presentation on "African-American and Latino Youth: Challenges and Resources"

WHEN: Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 12:30 to 4 p.m.

WHERE: FAIRWINDS Alumni Center, UCF Orlando campus

The School of Social Work and National Association of Social Work (NASW), Florida Chapter, are proud to sponsor a presentation by Dr. Lawrence Gary from Howard University titled, "African-American and Latino Youth: Challenges and Resources."

Also speaking are three faculty members from the school whose work is related to this topic: Drs. Barbara Turnage, Ana Leon and Marybeth Harris. In addition, a student will present her or his award-winning paper.

A registration fee will include lunch and 3.0 hours of CEU credit.

Proceeds of the event will benefit a scholarship in honor of the late Dawn I. Brett, a former member of the School of Social

Work faculty and an accomplished artist. A gallery offering

Brett's work has been established and a portion of its proceeds are being donated to the scholarship fund (see
