Angela Barron McBride (center), a nationally known nurse researcher, author and clinician, spoke on "Nursing: Building a Culture of Quality" at the first Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSFL) Endowed Visiting Professorship Lecture, held March 24 in the FAIRWINDS Alumni Center.
McBride is the first person to hold the BCBSFL Endowed Visiting Professorship at UCF. She is currently professor and university dean emerita at the Indiana University School of Nursing.
With McBride is Catherine Kelly (left), vice president for public affairs - signature programs for BCBSFL in Jacksonville, and nursing school Director Jean Leuner.
The lecture was the first of two events that celebrated 25 years of nursing graduates at UCF. An Alumni Gala Celebration Dinner was held March 25 in the Key West Ballroom at the Student Union. More the 150 people enjoyed an evening highlighted by remarks from UCF President Hitt and dancing to music selected by a disk jockey.
