About this Photo

The UCF Library now houses an extensive book collection, occupying four long shelves, that focuses on the study of law throughout all 50 states. The collection, designated The Gould Family Library of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies, is a gift from Norman, Jean, Jeffrey and Bruce Gould.

For more than 50 years, Jean and Norman Gould operated Gould Publications as a leading publisher of compendiums of local and state laws and handbooks used by courts, lawyers and law enforcement agencies across the nation. During the most recent 20-some years, Gould Publications was located in Longwood, Fla. Jean and Norman sold their company to Lexis Nexis in December 2004.

A dedication of The Gould Family Library of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies was held on May 17 at the UCF Library.

To learn more about the Gould family and Gould Publications, see "Letter of the Law," published in Pegasus, Sept./Oct. 2005, pgs. 35-37.
